Description
RISE Indy is an education-focused advocacy organization dedicated to improving the quality of education for all students in Indianapolis. They work to influence education policy, support effective schools, and ensure equitable opportunities for students. Through community engagement, policy advocacy, and collaboration with educators and stakeholders, RISE Indy aims to promote education reform and create a more equitable and effective education system in the community.
This program empowers parents and caregivers to improve their students’ literacy rates and get kids to read at or above grade level. Participants are taught the basics of the “science of reading” principles to complement their children’s schoolwork. Through the program, parents also build self-confidence and improve their own literacy skills.
